Marsons Limited has its head office and manufacturing Unit, one at Chakmir, Budge-Budge Trunk Road, Kolkata-700142.

Marsons limited one of the India's first small/ medium scale unit manufacturing transformers was established in the year 1957. Since its inception, Company's motto had been to produce the best quality product & has entered into the manufacturing of a wide range of Power & Distribution transformers, current & voltage transformers & other special purpose transformers.

All the space utilized in plants in the manufacture of transformers is contained within brick and steel building of permanent construction. The plants have covered area of about 35000 approx square feet.

DRYING AND TREATMENTS SECTION:

 

This section is situated at the very center of the factory lay-out where transformers are vacuum dried and impregnated. This section comprises some of the most up-to-date systems of autoclave vacuum heating. The horizontal loading autoclave capable of housing complete transformers for the autoclaves loaded by using motor-driven trolleys. The heating cycle of the transformer is being done by circulating hot thermal fluid. The autoclave pressure and temperature values are checked using electronic systems controlling the heating plant ad the vacuum unit.

TESTING LABORATORY

 

The laboratory is equipped with -80 KJ 1600 KV generator for impulse voltage test, and with other required testing equipments suitable for testing the transformers up to the range of 100 MVA 132 KV Class.
